Meridian Trust is governed by a board of trustees made up of business people and educational specialists. All trustees are company directors for the purposes of company law.
The board of trustees is responsible for 1) ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction of the trust 2) holding executive leaders to account for the educational performance of the trust schools and their pupils, and performance management of staff and 3) overseeing the financial performance of the trust and making sure that money is well spent. The board has three Policy & Scrutiny Committees as well as a Remuneration Committee and a Teaching School Hub Committee.
