Prior, a talented pupil from West Town Primary Academy in Peterborough has secured the top prize in the Young Writers ‘Me and My Family’ competition.
Hosted by Young Artists in partnership with Young Writers, “Me and My Family” is a brand-new drawing competition designed for children aged 4-5. The competition invited children to draw a picture of either one of their family members or their whole family.
Out of nine participants from West Town Primary School and across the Meridian Trust, Prior’s impressive drawing was chosen as the best, earning him the honour of having it featured on the front cover of the competition’s book.
In addition to this recognition, Prior has also been rewarded with a bag filled with art supplies and goodies, inspiring and supporting his continued artistic journey at home.
A big round of applause goes to Prior, all the pupils from West Town Primary School. Their creativity and effort have truly shined, making the selection process both challenging and exciting.
Headteacher, Hannah Quinn expressed her congratulations to Prior, saying, “I’m delighted for Prior! We had some brilliant entries from our reception pupils, but his artistic talent stood out. Having his illustration featured on the cover of a book is a prestigious achievement, and it’s fantastic to see his efforts recognised in this manner.”
