Somersham Primary School, part of Meridian Trust, celebrated its 60th birthday with a memorable occasion for pupils, staff and guests.
The day began with an assembly showcasing images from the school’s history. The children participated in the celebrations by completing a special art project themed around the number 60.
The school community then gathered on the field to sing Happy Birthday and enjoy a slice of birthday cake.
Visitors then positioned themselves in the school field to create the number 60, creating an impressive display when viewed from above.
Jonathan Clarke, Headteacher at Somersham Primary School, said: “We were thrilled to celebrate this wonderful occasion with staff, pupils, and the wider Somersham community. It was a fantastic day of fun, celebration, and reminiscing about the history of this great school.
“For six decades now, the school has been a pillar of the Somersham community, providing a learning environment where children are inspired to reach their full potential. We will continue to be a place where our pupils can thrive and achieve.”
