Sawtry Village Academy, part of Meridian Trust, has opened a cutting-edge ICT suite following a major investment aimed at enhancing digital learning and supporting the school’s continued growth.
Working closely with Meridian Trust’s IT team, the Academy’s leadership identified the need for additional digital learning space to accommodate more students from the local area. An existing classroom was refurbished and transformed into a modern ICT suite designed to deliver high-quality teaching and independent learning.
The project included just over £10,000 of investment in room refurbishment, covering specialist desking, power and data installation. A further £17,500 was invested in new IT hardware and software, bringing the total investment to £27,500.
The completed suite provides space for 30 students, with modern workstations designed to support independent, focused learning and reliable access to digital technology.

The new ICT suite builds on a wider programme of investment in digital infrastructure at Sawtry Village Academy. Over the past year, more than 120 desktop computers across the school have been upgraded to ensure compatibility with Microsoft Windows 11, reinforcing the Academy’s commitment to delivering high-quality learning for all students.
