Our Training Partners

Meridian Trust runs a number of highly successful and Department for Education (DfE) accredited SCITT (School Centred Initial Teacher Training) programmes which all result in QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).

The Cambridge Partnership is our Trust’s own SCITT provider and has been successfully training and providing inspirational teachers and school leaders for more than 15 years. Accredited by the DfE to deliver SCITT programmes, including an innovative postgraduate teaching apprenticeship, The Cambridge Partnership works closely with more than 200 schools throughout the region. The programme is also delivered through a Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire hub, known as The Pilgrim Partnership.

 

The Trust is also a founder member of Cambridge Teaching Schools Network (CTSN), another DfE accredited SCITT provider, and our staff are part of the team that delivers their training programme.

 

We also work closely with The University of Cambridge, University of Bedfordshire, and Anglia Ruskin University to offer different routes towards being a teacher, including being placed in a Meridian Trust school if you choose a university training route.

The Cambridge Partnership works to provide inspirational teachers and future school leaders for a significant area of the East of England.

Centred in Cambridgeshire we have developed strong partnerships with schools across the region including Norfolk, Suffolk, Bedfordshire, Essex, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, Warwickshire and Hertfordshire.

The Cambridge Teaching Schools Network


The Cambridge Teaching School Network is, exactly as might be expected, a network of teaching schools in the Cambridge Area (and beyond).

We have been providing school based initial teacher training for many years, alongside the other core functions of a teaching school: research and development; school to school support; and continuing professional development for teachers at all stages of their careers.

This means that choosing to train with CTSN will introduce you to a network of training and support that might continue well beyond your initial teacher training.
