Meridian Trust Sixth Form students have worked incredibly hard, and today we celebrated their remarkable achievements, reflecting dedication, resilience, and ambition.
Across our schools – Bishop Laney Sixth Form (part of Ely College), Greater Peterborough UTC, Stratton School, Sharnbrook Academy, Nene Park Academy, Sawtry Village Academy, and The Ferrers School – we have seen countless stories of perseverance, determination, and success.
Highlights from across the Trust include:
- Sharnbrook Academy: Special recognition goes to Risa White and Sofiia Yarema, who joined from Ukraine towards the end of Year 10 and achieved excellent results.
- Stratton School: Congratulations to Alex Watters, who achieved four A*s and will read Aeronautical Engineering at Imperial College London. The school also celebrated many other student successes.
- Nene Park Academy: Nicole Celary earned four A*s and an A, securing a place at Warwick University to read Economics. Jack McClean will study Economics at Leeds University, while Oli Uczniak, Matthew McLoughlin, and Kailaeny Matenda – who joined mid-Year 11 – also achieved outstanding results.
- The Ferrers School: Students achieved strong results across a range of subjects, heading to top universities including Birmingham, King’s College London, Bath, Bristol, Glasgow, Leeds, Hertfordshire, and Lincoln.
- Greater Peterborough UTC: Students are moving on to Loughborough University, De Montfort University, and celebrating success in T-Level courses.
- Bishop Laney Sixth Form: Students are progressing to Durham University, Newcastle University, and pursuing courses in Economics, Business, Geography, and Sports Science this September.
- Sawtry Village Academy: Students are continuing their studies at Cambridge, York, Nottingham, and Norwich University of the Arts.
