Greater Peterborough UTC wins Education Award at Children’s Spark Awards

Greater Peterborough UTC has been recognised for its innovative approach to helping young people build fulfilling careers, winning the Education Award at Peterborough City Council’s Children’s Spark Awards 2026.

Held at the Peterborough Marriott Hotel on Thursday 22 October, the awards celebrated local people, teams and organisations making a positive difference to children, young people and families across the city.

The UTC was recognised for its work to help young people progress into fulfilling careers through industry placements, partnerships and a positive, creative learning environment. These opportunities enable students to develop practical skills, gain valuable experience and explore pathways into further study, apprenticeships and employment.

The school was also shortlisted in the Partnerships in Excellence category, reflecting its wider work with local organisations and partners.

The award recognises the commitment of the Greater Peterborough UTC team to preparing students for life beyond school, helping them build the confidence, knowledge and skills to take their next steps and achieve their ambitions.

Congratulations to everyone at Greater Peterborough UTC on this well-deserved achievement.
