Vicky completed her training at Loughborough University with a PGCE in PE and English in 1998, following a degree in Sports Science. She started her career as a PE and English teacher in a Leicestershire school, before becoming a Partnership Development Manager of a School Sports Partnership of over 30 schools (Secondary, Primary and SEN). Vicky then went on to work in another successful Leicestershire school in a number of middle leadership positions; including Head of PE and Head of Key Stage 4. She joined the senior team as Assistant Principal and finished her time there as Vice Principal. She has led on all aspects of leadership whilst working as a senior leader, however, her passion lies in the pastoral and behaviour management elements of education. She became the Headteacher of Stamford Welland Academy in April 2018 leading the school through a very exciting time of growth and development.
As of September 2026, Vicky is Executive Headteacher for The Bluecoat School and Stamford Welland Academy.
