When did you join CMAT?
I’m a teaching assistant at west town primary academy, I am part of the PTFA and support CMAT in building strong community cohesion. I started my job in the year 2000 and continued when CMAT took over in 2014
What do you enjoy most about your job and/or working for CMAT?
I absolutely love the team I am working with because they are so professional, committed and dedicated to the children and trust. We are a unique establishment that is so inclusive and diverse, we welcome all nationalities, languages ethnic groups/ backgrounds and a lot more! We instill British values, tolerance and resilience in our children and we provide them the opportunities to excel, grow and develop. At the same time we are like a family we nurture and care for the staff and children.
I’m so honoured and proud to be part of such a great team!
How has working for CMAT provided you with opportunities (including training or CPD) or links you might otherwise not have made?
I am so lucky and grateful to have been offered the opportunities to develop professionally in my career. I have particularly enjoyed the Webster Stratton parenting course that has helped and supported to build excellent links between parents and teachers.
How do you think CMAT schools make a difference to our communities?
CMAT schools are different because they have a vision and provide high quality teaching for children and celebrate there success! We take pride and shout from the rooftops when our children achieve and progress. Believe me, it’s a tough journey from where they start and how they grow and we enjoy the process. It gives me job satisfaction and I love coming to work and making a difference in their lives, how ever small that might be.
What is your favourite memory or funniest moment working for CMAT?
My favourite moment is the opening of the new school and when we moved to the new build in 2016. Wow all that space! We were beside ourselves but not so much when I had to climb all those flight of stairs!
