Cambridge and Peterborough Teaching School Hub redesignation

We are delighted to share the news that Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Teaching School Hub (CPTSH) has been redesignated for four further years (2024 to 2028).

This highlights our efforts and commitment to support teacher training and development of schools from across our region.

Since its initial designation in 2021, CPTSH, whose lead school is Histon & Impington Brook Primary School, part of Meridian Trust, has made remarkable progress in enhancing both the quality and accessibility of professional development opportunities for teachers, as well as supporting school improvement initiatives.

CPTSH currently assists 353 schools in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough with the Early Career Framework (ECF), National Professional Qualifications (NPQ), Initial Teacher Training (ITT), Appropriate Body Services (AB), and Continuous Professional Development (CPD).

Mark Woods, Chief Executive Officer at Meridian Trust, said: “I am thrilled to see the redesignation of the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Teaching School Hub. It highlights our unwavering commitment to creating an environment where every learner has the opportunity to thrive.”

Lesley Birch, Deputy Chief Executive Officer at Meridian Trust, added: “This redesignation showcases our ongoing commitment to providing teachers with necessary support and resources to drive positive change in our schools.”
